Domaine "Les Girard du Boucou"

Our Châteauneuf-du-Pape is the product of an excellent "terroir", made up of large, rolled pebbles which lie over a layer Miocene blue-clay, and on which are planted the thirteen authorized varieties of the appellation :

They are Grenache noir , Mourvedre , Counoise , Syrah, Cinsault , Vaccareze, Muscardin plus the white grapes (Grenache blanc, Clairette, Roussanne, Bourboulenc, Picpoul, Picardan,) which, in certain years, go into our white Châteauneuf-du-Pape

The Mistral wind brings with him the sunshine which ripens perfectly our grapes. These are then harvested by hand, and each bunch undergoes the selection process.

We practise organic farming. We do not use any chemical fertilizers, weedkillers or insecticides which are not permitted by this natural form of agriculture

In our red Châteauneuf-du-Pape, ruby-red of hue with purple highlights, you will find the aroma of spices, leather and ripe red berry fruits with overtones of licorice.
